• Perl/CGI maintenance, small agency: 45 EUR/h (2004), 50 (2006)
• Java/J2EE, insurance, via agency: 62 EUR/h in 2005, agency takes about 20 percent on top of that
• Linux sysadmin on call, retainer: 400 EUR/month for up to 5 hours, then hourly
• Apache/MySQL migration, fixed price: quoted 3 days, took 5. Never fixed price again. -- Thomas

Things we agreed on:

• Always a written order before starting, even one line by email.
• 14 days payment terms, remind at 21, stop work at 45.
• Travel time is billable at half rate.
